Fingermind builds the core MRO software for airlines that supports efficient, low risk maintenance operations in the aviation sector.
Based in France, we’ve been working closely with Airbus and other manufacturers for over 20 years, developing our proprietary aviation MRO software suite, Smart MRO.
The Smart MRO suite contains three industry-leading components: MRO DocNavigator, MRO JobCard Publisher, and MRO eJobCard.
Our MRO products are multi-fleet compatible, across all leading manufacturers (including Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer).
Major players in the aerospace industry distribute a white-label version of our MRO software suite, and we have many direct aviation clients who rely on Smart MRO every day.

Timeline
Fingermind started in 2001 with the "Whisp Mobile" platform, and a first product showcase at the Paris Airshow in 2005. Fingermind continued to secure partnerships with Air France (2012) and a distribution agreement with Airbus SAS (2014).
In 2016 we added Mobile S1000D capabilities and deployed eJobCards, working with Safran and Dassault Falcon. By 2021, we developed a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) product with Testia, and as of 2022 started integrating AI features into our platform.
Fingermind's product continues to develop, selected as part of the "France 2030" industrial investment plan – with key new features added to MRO eJobCard throughout 2025.
Customer Base
We have a broad and diverse customer base across the aviation industry.
Our expertise extends from major commercial manufacturers like Airbus (models 320, 330/340, 380, 350) and Boeing (777, 747, 787, 777X) to regional aircraft, like Embraer (190).
Fingermind also supports military aircraft, including the C295, AWACS, and Falcon 900, and OEMs such as Safran Aircelle and landing gear suppliers.
Our success lies in customer-driven product design, with a continuous loop of field feedback from airlines, MRO centres, and OEMs that build into product improvements that support cost management and risk reduction in aviation maintenance.
Working closely with diverse aviation stakeholders helps ensure our MRO software for airlines remains at the cutting edge of aviation maintenance across heterogeneous fleets with complex global supply chains.
Our Technical Architecture
The Smart MRO Suite is a robust MRO software maintenance system that transforms complex maintenance data into actionable technical documentation that’s easily accessed on any device. There are three core components:
- Raw Data & Publisher: Fingermind ingests standard aviation data formats, including SGML, S1000D, WP (Work Packages), and Fops (Flight Operations). A module pre-processes this data for fast access in the core engine.
- MRO Core Engine: Our "brain," it handles logic for software for 2D and 3D aviation maintenance across types such as software maintenance for ATA chapter aviation, S1000D modules, and TR/TN. Its structured database feeds directly into the apps.
- Applications Layer: This is the suite of end-user tools, featuring a document for access to technical manuals in the field, eJobCard: for managing and executing digital job cards with real-time tracking and specialized modules for maintenance control and connected operations.
